The Grand Valley State Women’s Basketball team is National Champions of Division II Women’s College Basketball once again.
The Laker Women rolled through the competition in this past week’s Elite Eight over in Pittsburgh with three double digit victories, all against first time opponents in program history, that added to the season total of 35 of the 36 victories coming by way of double digit wins.
The lone loss came by one single point in Detroit against Wayne State.
The GVSU Women have now notched three National Championships in program history joining the 2005-06 and 2024-25 teams.

The Laker Women finish the 2025-26 season with a 36-1 overall record that includes a fifth straight GLIAC Regular Season title, fourth consecutive GLIAC Postseason crown, third Midwest Regional Championship in the last five seasons, and second straight National Championship.
