The #5-ranked Grand Valley State Football team returned from the Bye Week and began GLIAC play with a Homecoming matchup inside Lubbers Stadium this past Saturday afternoon against the winless Wayne State Warriors looking to stay unbeaten on the season while retaining the Wooden Shoes Trophy.
Just like two weeks ago at home against the Judson Eagles, it wasn’t a fair fight as GVSU imposed their will from the opening kickoff.
With the win, the Lakers improved to 5-0 overall and 1-0 in the GLIAC, while the Warriors fell to 0-5 overall and 0-1 in the GLIAC following the road setback.
