The #6-ranked Grand Valley State Football team continued non-conference action over the weekend as they took the trip to Northern Ohio to take on the #19-ranked Ashland Eagles inside Jack Miller Stadium.
Saturday night’s game featured a low-scoring slugfest in which the Lakers took a 17-0 lead into the halftime locker room and never looked back in earning a hard-fought 20-10 road victory to remain unbeaten at 3-0 on the season.
With the loss, Ashland fell to 0-2 on the young campaign.

The Lakers will conclude non-conference play this weekend as they return home to Lubbers Stadium for Family Day as the Judson Eagles come to Allendale for a 7 pm kickoff in the first all-time meeting between the two schools.
