The #7-ranked Grand Valley State Football embarked on the 2026 Home Opener inside Lubbers Stadium in Allendale as they continued non-conference play in a matchup against the West Texas A&M Buffaloes.
After the visitors claimed the first point of the game courtesy of a fumble recovery touchdown on defense, the Lakers would go on to rattle off the next 56 points before the Buffaloes added a late fourth quarter touchdown resulting in a dominating 56-14 victory in front of the GVSU faithful in a White Out.
With the win, the Lakers improve to 2-0 on the young season, while the Buffaloes fall to 0-2 overall.
