The resilient and opportunistic Grand Valley State Football team were able to capitalize on four Pittsburg State Gorilla turnovers into 21 points on Saturday afternoon at Lubbers Stadium and rally late to move on to the Super Region Three Final following a 24-21 comeback win in the second round of the playoffs.

The game featured the first all-time meeting between the two Division II bluebloods that, ultimately, went the Lakers’ way as they now embark on the National Quarterfinal round for the second consecutive season as they’ll hit the road to take the #4-ranked Harding Bisons this Saturday afternoon.
